HVAC Field Operations Manager.
Position Overview:
Bold City Heating and Air is looking for a strong leader to oversee our residential HVAC field operations team. This role will manage all field operations, including service technicians, and installers while helping drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, technician performance, and installation quality.
We are searching for someone with real residential HVAC field experience who understands the fast pace of service, maintenance, and installation operations and can lead by example. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires strong communication, organization, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
Field Operations Management:
- Oversee all residential HVAC service, maintenance, and installation operations.
- Manage and support all field technicians and installers.
- Ensure installers are fully prepared each morning with: Equipment, Materials, Tools, Job information, Accessories and IAQ products.
- Verify all install jobs are properly staged for successful completion.
- Assist technicians with troubleshooting and field solutions throughout the day.
- Monitor job progress and ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Help maintain installation timelines and efficiency.
Technician Leadership & Performance:
- Track and manage technician KPIs and performance metrics.
- Monitor: Average ticket, Membership conversions, IAQ sales, Callback rates, Completion rates, Customer satisfaction, and Revenue performance.
- Coach technicians on improving performance and customer experience.
- Conduct ride-alongs and field training when necessary.
- Hold technicians accountable to company standards and procedures.
- Ensure proper use of ServiceTitan and other software.
Operational Support:
- Coordinate with office staff and dispatch to maximize efficiency.
- Assist with scheduling and workload management.
- Help manage inventory and equipment flow.
- Maintain clean and organized warehouse operations.
- Ensure technicians maintain professional appearance and customer service standards.
- Assist with after-hours and emergency operational needs.
Requirements:
- Prior leadership or management experience in residential home services.
- Strong understanding of: Day-to-day operations of an home service company, Service & maintenance process, and Installation process.
- Experience managing field technicians.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with ServiceTitan preferred.
- Maintain a clean background.
- Must be dependable and organized.
- Must be available for weekend emergencies and after-hours support when needed.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $70,000 – $80,000 annual salary.
